Physical soil classification

Soil classification identifies soil types by examining master horizons, diagnostic materials, and horizon textures. This helps producers select the best soil preparation practices for optimal health and fertility, manage nutrient leaching, and pinpoint yield potential zones. When combined with nutrient analyses, it allows for creating variable rate prescription maps for precise fertilisation and seeding.

Soil nutrient analysis (Chemical analysis)

Soil nutrient analysis evaluates key nutrients for plant growth through samples taken at 1ha, 2ha, and 4ha intervals. Agropedo uses accredited laboratories precise results, helping correct nutrient imbalances and creating variable rate maps for accurate liming and fertilisation.

Soil health and biological analysis

Soil health and biological activity are assessed with the H3A extraction method, mimicking plant root acids to determine nutrient availability. This analysis also evaluates microorganisms' roles, like nitrification, in making nitrogen accessible. It helps growers monitor microbial changes over time and treatments, ensuring soil protection and health.

Lime and fertiliser recommendations

We evaluate all available data, including physical soil classification, soil nutrient analyses, and soil health and biological assessments, to develop precise, variable-rate lime and fertiliser recommendations tailored to the specific needs of different crops. This comprehensive approach ensures optimal soil conditions and maximises crop productivity.

Variable rate lime and fertiliser recommendations

We use the information on yield potential, leaching risks, and saturated areas gathered from our soil classification service to create customised seed recommendations for each zone. This approach ensures the optimum seeding rate per yield zone.

Leaf & sap analysis

Leaf sap analyses during the growing season provide accurate foliar feeding recommendations. Samples are tested for nutrients and elements (NH4, NO3, N, P, K, Mg, Cl, Na, Mo, Total Sugars, pH, EC, Ca, S, Si, Fe, Mn, Zn, Cu, B) allowing adjusted foliar feeding and refined fertilisation practices.

Crop inspections

During crop inspections, we conduct leaf sap analyses and check soil profiles, including root development, compaction, and moisture levels. Crops are monitored throughout the season to make real-time adjustments

Yield data processing & analysis
